The NAHB’s National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) has announced the Gold Award Winners for The Nationals new home sales and marketing awards. As one of the most prestigious awards of their kind, The Nationals sets the benchmark for innovation in home design, marketing, and sales. From a field of over 900 entries, a diverse panel of industry professionals from across the country selected winners, with only 12% of entries being chosen as Silver Honorees and just 2% earning the Gold Award. New Home Star received one Gold Award for NHS team member Joseph Graeve in the Rookie Sales Professional of the Year category. The firm also earned five Silver Award honors, the most wins for any organization across sales categories. This year’s award ceremony took place on March 5 as a virtual event, with nearly 1,000 attendees celebrating this important annual occasion.
The Nationals 2021 Winner’s Book included the following excerpt in their selection for Joseph’s Gold Award:
“Joseph was chosen not because of his tremendous sales success of 70 net sales, but because he is the complete package of high sales skill and operational excellence. To manage a backlog of 30 people right out of the gate, and then to tack on 70 more in your first year through a pandemic where models are shut down, and the military stops troop movement, while also achieving over 95% willingness to refer, is something never seen or heard of from someone outside the industry achieving in their first year. This military veteran has the ability to operate his community at a high level, beat the competition with less, and deliver high value to his buyers and builder.”
Started in 1982 as the Institute of Residential Marketing, The Nationals award program continues to recognize superior new home sales and marketing achievements. With 61 categories across various disciplines of the new home industry, the awards honor excellence in product and community design, advertising, marketing, and sales achievements by individuals and sales teams.
“We are proud that Joseph is representing our organization in this year’s Nationals award,” says New Home Star Founder David Rice. “His hard work and dedication to persevere through such an unprecedented time in the world is admirable, and we couldn’t be more excited for this major achievement he has earned. We look forward to witnessing his continued success and supporting him along the way.”
"The Nationals are the most prestigious awards of their kind, setting the benchmark for innovations in new home design, marketing, and sales," said Angela Harris, Chairperson of The Nationals. "NAHB's commitment to recognizing originality, imagination, and success has been exemplified by its award winners since the competition's inception."
