Chicago, IL - New Home Star, the nation’s largest private seller of new homes, based in Elmhurst, Illinois, made the list in the prestigious Crain’s Best Places to Work award. Crain’s and the Best Companies Group collaborated to conduct a two-part survey involving both employers and employees to discover the top 100 companies to work for in the Chicagoland area. Out of the record 14,500 responses, the top 100 firms were selected based on company culture, benefits, policies, and career growth opportunities.

“Our goal has always been to provide excellent careers for our people,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. “Our team members are at the heart of our business. We strive to continually improve our processes to greater support each employee in order to create an organization full of elite talent that fosters a captivating and fulfilling culture. It is an honor to hear that New Home Star has been recognized again this year,” says Rice. “This organization wouldn’t be what it is today without all of the people within, and we are truly humbled to see that what we have done thus far has made an impact. While we still have a great amount of work to do, I’m confident that our people have the ability to change the face of the homebuilding industry.” This is the third consecutive year New Home Star has been named one of the Best Places to Work by Crain’s Chicago.

“Our vision is to build the best new home sales company in the world, and our employees are helping us do just that each and every day,” says New Home Star President, Tom Chisholm. “This is an exciting accomplishment for our organization. We strive to create a workplace environment where people feel valued, encouraged, and supported; this is especially important right now as we navigate through the COVID-19 crisis.”

New Home Star took eighteenth place for the large category and sixty-sixth place overall. Find out more about the Crain’s Best Places to Work Program and to view the official rankings.
