Builder Appreciation Week: New Home Star Contributes $25K to Charities

By Star Report 2 min read

Chicago, IL - From July 14-18, New Home Star hosted its sixth annual Builder Appreciation Week aimed to showcase gratitude to the firm’s builder partners. Throughout the week, team members rallied together to make a difference and show appreciation on every level of the builder’s business, from the area in which they serve, all the way to the corporate and construction staff members.

This year, the organization placed a strong focus on its Giving Every Moment (GEM) Project, a company-wide volunteer and service program. Each division was encouraged to organize a community outreach event and, after the completion of the volunteer event, New Home Star donated to a charity of the team’s choice in honor of the builder partners. “We couldn’t do what we do without the amazing efforts of our builder partners,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. “Organizing an initiative dedicated to going the extra mile for them and their communities is at the heart of our organization and something we truly value.”

New Home Star donated to the following charities on behalf of our builder partners for a total donation of $25,200.

To show appreciation to the construction crew and corporate office, each division was given an allowance to treat these hard-working individuals to an appreciation lunch. “Hearing stories and seeing pictures of our team members making the most of this week and diving into the true meaning behind this initiative was wonderful to experience,” says New Home Star President, Tom Chisholm. “Our builder partners and their staff are of utmost importance to our organization and are more than deserving of this extra gratitude and appreciation.”
