Written by Star Report | Oct 27, 2015

Chicago, IL - On Oct. 14 and 15, the Information Management Network (IMN) held its third annual Real Estate Private Equity Forum on Land & Homebuilding in Las Vegas. The forum included representatives from various private equity firms, property owners, homebuilders, legal firms and more. New Home Star's Regional Vice President Keith McKinney attended on behalf of New Home Star, representing the only sales and marketing firm at the conference.

"This conference is unique in that it provides an opportunity for dialogue amongst sharp minds in order to share best practices and discuss what's working and what isn't," says McKinney, one of the forum's featured speakers. "It's built around having people in executive roles sit down and have conversations about capital investment." McKinney spoke during the forum, sharing on how sales and marketing affects margin and drives revenue for homebuilders. His biggest takeaway for the homebuilding industry was the increasing trend of "developers and homebuilders paying more attention to customer feedback, demand, and how a product is perceived and valued."

IMN's conference gathers capital investment companies in the effort to share industry knowledge and practices. This year's event hosted 300+ participants and 55+ speakers, according to IMN. The Information Management Network is an organization seeking to provide educational investment conferences and networking opportunities. It works primarily with real estate, structured finance and investment management. The third annual forum will take place on April 5-6, 2016 in Miami and will focus on "private equity, debt and joint venture financing in the land and homebuilding markets" with a possible CEO panel, a session on "The Financing Shark Tank" and more.
