Chicago, IL - Five years ago, New Home Star introduced its first inaugural Builder Appreciation Week, and this special initiative was rolled out again this year, spanning August 3-7. This annual event sets out to spread positivity and show appreciation for builder partners and their corporate staff through community outreach events. An exciting new twist was added this year where agents were encouraged to compete in a contest for the best next-level backlog appreciation ideas in honor of this meaningful week of recognition.
On top of builder-specific efforts, New Home Star ensured a continuation of its GEMerosity initiative, a company-wide volunteer and service program, for this year’s lineup. Each division organized a First Responder lunch for their local heroes on behalf of their builder partner, fully funded by New Home Star. “We had to shift our focus this year,” says New Home Star Founder, David Rice. Our GEMerosity events during this week are normally in-person team bonding fueled. While this year looked different than normal, it was inspiring to see our teams come together to support the amazing First Responders throughout this challenging time. It was a true team effort that made such a large impact in our communities nationwide.”
While the organized events and gifting kickstart this week of appreciation, the company’s team members are the ones who keep the efforts going. The new initiative this year challenged agents to drive new innovative and creative ideas for building customer relationships. Plenty of pictures, stories, and creative ideas were shared displaying how sales professionals were making a difference to foster an even greater team environment with their clients, builder partners, and within their communities.
The unique memories shared this year truly displayed how team members showed their builder partners and community members the utmost appreciation. New Home Star is committed to continuing on this week-long tradition that strengthens team bonds and recognizes those individuals who play a large part in the organization.
